Frequently asked questions

PricePilot adds a panel in three places: the Subscription detail page (change the price on a single subscription), the Customer detail page (view all of a customer's active subscriptions and change any of them), and the Billing overview page (bulk migrate subscriptions or run the Create & Migrate workflow).

Apply now changes the price immediately and generates a prorated invoice for the remainder of the billing period. The app shows you a preview of the proration amount before you confirm.

Schedule for next cycle uses a Stripe Subscription Schedule to queue the change — the customer continues on their current price until their next renewal date, then automatically switches. No mid-period billing disruption.

It handles a full pricing rollout in one workflow: you define a new price, the app creates it in Stripe and sets it as your product's default, archives the old price so no new customers land on it, then migrates all existing subscribers to the new price using whichever timing you choose.

There's no hard cap — the app processes subscriptions in batches and reports success or failure per subscription when complete. Very large migrations (thousands of subscriptions) may take a few minutes to finish.

The app makes the change in Stripe but does not send customer-facing emails on your behalf. Stripe's own invoice and billing emails will reflect the updated price on the next invoice. If you want to proactively notify customers, we recommend sending those separately before running the migration.

The app shows a per-subscription result when the run completes. Any failures are listed with their error message so you can investigate and retry individually. Successful migrations are not affected by failures on other subscriptions in the same run.

Yes — it works in both. We recommend testing in test mode with sample subscriptions before running bulk migrations against your live customer base.

No. The app has no external servers or database. All operations happen directly through the Stripe API within your Dashboard session. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
